After wowing the planet as a representative of Indiana in both the Miss Universe and Miss World contests, June Cochran wowed our readers as Miss December 1962. Like many other Playmates, she worked as a Bunny and lived in the Chicago mansion, but she did something that distinguished her from the others -- she posed for her Playmate of the Year layout while she was pregnant. She was so well received by both editors and readers that she became the model for the magazines Little Annie Fanny comic strip. June grew up near Indianapolis (and the Indy 500), so it was only natural that she became involved in race car driving. She broke ground by becoming one of the first women admitted to the pits at United States Auto Club-sanctioned races, and she spent much of her time promoting car shows and auto racing. Consequently, June married a race car driver; the couple had two boys who are also involved in racing. During a second marriage that ended in divorce, June had a daughter who, like her mother, competes in various beauty competitions. Today June is still an official for the USAC. In terms of her experience as a Playmate, June said, "If I had it to do all over again, I'd still do it." We certainly hope so, because Playboy wouldnt be the same without her.
